Job Description:

  • The primary purpose of this role is to install, design, implement, upgrade, and optimize the performance of databases required to
  • operate Allscripts software solutions.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Estimate effort for self and agree on schedules with Project Manager
  • Create and maintain appropriate documentation (Database, Architecture, etc.)
  • Analyze and diagnose problems reported to the help desk, escalate support issues
  • Discuss issues/requirements with client
  • Work with the development teams in the data modelling and database design of product and efficient SQL for fast application      performance.
  • Effectively support Sales, BSG and Professional Services
  • Research and identify third party tools / software that improves development process
  • Install and configure database system software plus third-party system tools, applications and products.
  • Performance Optimization – Performance monitoring, measurement and capacity planning of Production Software solutions,      recommending changes to Allscripts products and “standardized” System configurations.
  • Implement, periodically test and review appropriate data access and security measures, including access control, audit,      backup/restore and system rebuild & recovery processes.
  • Implement and continuously improve the database infrastructure environment. Provide fast and value-added services to the      development organization.
  • Participate in the process of ensuring that identified Business Continuity measures are implemented, documented and regularly tested to enable continue operations of systems identified as requiring such protection in accordance with the corporate Disaster Recovery      program.
  • Stay current with the DB technology. Perform software upgrades and new software installation both pro-actively and in response to requests from users of systems, including any necessary patches to database systems and applications to ensure continuing stable and secure operation.
  • Provide an ad-hoc support service to users of all computer systems, troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
  • Carry out prescribed programs of computer system performance management and capacity planning for systems as designated by      Management to ensure the necessary system capacity and performance is available as required.
  • Pro-actively seek and acquire technical training, vocational training and market and product awareness such that skills remain current, relevant and valued within Allscripts.
  • Accurately estimate effort for self and agree schedules with manager.
Qualification:Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  •  Successful completion of a Bachelors Degree or relevant database experience.

Experience:

Job Description:

  • Serves as an IT EDI Integration Analyst with expertise in EDI file Integration between Eaton Oracle System, SAP and other ERPs.
  • Has adequate knowledge about the Oracle procure to pay and order to cash cycles  or knowledge about the SAP SD module with exposure to Quote to cash(QTC), Requisition to Cash (RTC) business processes
  • Has worked on few EDI integrations, preferably involving Oracle Apps, SAP EDI.
  • Work collaboratively with people in similar roles from other ERP areas at Eaton such as Oracle Apps, SAP, Vista or MFG PRO.
  • Has experience and working knowledge of EDI concepts including standards such as EDIFACT, ANSI X12 and IDOC.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):

  • Requires a four year college degree in computer science or related degree
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills with experience of direct customer involvement and requirements analysis
  • Experience in configuring  EDI  setups in SAP with exposure to Quote to Cash(QTC), Requisition to Cash (RTC) modules or Oracle eCommerce Gateway, Oracle RLM modules
  • Must have extensive knowledge of ASC X12 EDI Standards & EDIFACT EDI Standards.
  • Must have excellent communication skills written and verbal. Excellent time management skills to effectively manage changes in priority between projects, implementations, and daily support issues
  • Must have strong problem solving, root cause analysis, and solution design skills.
  • Must be able to learn to produce the MRS format for EDI (which is in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet format).  These are then used as specifications for building EDI middleware mappings.

Job Overview:

  • The role of the Staff Engineer is to develop software CSRs range of Bluetooth chips.
  • This will include embedded software running on the on-chip processors and associated software running on a host processor. For the embedded software, this involves coding in C and assembly language within a resource constrained multi-processor environment.
  • Host software is written in a high level language such as C/C++. In addition to this development of test system is required which makes use of scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
  • The Staff Engineer will be responsible for delivering the software with appropriate quality on a timescale agreed with the Staff Engineer/Manager. Should be able to work with minimal supervision and will needed to technically lead and mentor members of the team.
Requirements:

  • Task definition and work breakdown including time estimation.
  • Detailed architecture and design of complex areas including enhancing and adapting existing design to suit software requirements
  • Develops and tests software of major scale and complexity to agreed timescales.
  • Maintenance of software including defect investigation.
  • Delivery of high quality software in line with the departments processes.
  • Conducts peer software reviews.
  • Creates relevant documentation following the departments processes.
  • Interacts with FAEs/Customers to help them resolve issues found in software.
Person Specific Required:

  • Excellent C programming skills with proven experience of writing efficient code for low powered and memory constrained systems.
  • Excellent Bluetooth Protocol knowledge.
  • In-depth embedded system knowledge with experience in design and development of profiles or protocol stack layers.
  • Excellent problem solving ability with experience in diagnosing complex system issues. This should include very strong debugging techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to evaluate and create design documentation detailing complex features and relationships.
  • Excellent understanding of software architecture including knowledge of reverse engineering.
  • Effective team player.
  • B.Tech/B.E. Computers, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications or equivalent.
Preferred Qualification:

  • Good understanding of Digital Signal Processing from the Audio perspective. Proven experience of configuring/debugging Audio Interfaces (PCM, I2S, SPDIF, ADC/DAC etc.).
  • Prior experience of working on CSR chips and CSRs ADK/SDK environment is an added advantage. Capable of managing and allocating work for a small team.
